Gorilla

There’s a gorilla in my garden

He’s really rather gruff

Eating leaves and breaking trees

I think I’ve had enough

I’ve given him a proper name

So I don’t just call him “it”

Exiled and extremely wild,

“Oscar” seemed to fit

I hope he makes some garden friends

A dormouse and a dove

They’ll go on great adventures

That teach us how to love

Perhaps I’ll venture out one day

Give him a ticking off

But he’d rip my fucking legs off

And use my torso like a trough
